Main prize : $1,000 with a two-week residential at the peaceful Bundanon Centre, beside the Shoalhaven River.

Four secondary prizes of $250 each, and up to five commendations from the final judge.

 The aims of this biennial competition held since 1999 continue to be :

to recognize literary excellence and to enhance the image of the Shoalhaven as a place of strong cultural development.

MAIN JUDGE : Chris Mansell - with long experience in writing, both poetry & fiction, she has written five books of poetry and a number of other smaller collections. Recent collections from Chris include The Fickle Brat (text + audio CD) (Interactive Digital) and a chapbook, Stalking the Rainbow. Her new Mortifications & Lies will be published in 2005 by Kardoorair Press. Her latest venture is a small poetry press called PressPress .
